Anandi Foundation conducted a stationary distribution camp at a Zilla Parishad School in the village of Walke, Raigad, where we witnessed first-hand how a simple gift can ignite a child’s passion for learning. During the camp, each child received a thoughtfully assembled kit designed to support every aspect of their classroom activities and creative exploration. As a part of their stationery kit, students received six sturdy notebooks—three with 200 pages for daily lessons and another three with 100 pages for homework and practice. We included a complete art set featuring vibrant sketch pens, watercolors, brushes, and drawing pads to encourage self-expression and creativity. Essential writing tools were also included in the kit: quality pencils, erasers, sharpeners, and rulers to ensure every student could take neat notes and complete assignments with confidence.
The impact was immediate and heartwarming. As kits were handed out, shy smiles transformed into gleeful grins, and children eagerly flipped through blank pages, imagining the stories and drawings they would soon fill them with. Teachers noted how having reliable supplies reduced classroom interruptions and allowed lessons to flow smoothly, while parents expressed relief at not having to stretch limited household budgets for basic school materials. For these 40 primary-grade students, the new stationery kits did more than restock their desks—they reinforced the message that their education matters and that a community believes in their potential. This simple act of support laid another building block in nurturing future scholars, artists, and problem-solvers in Walke village’s next generation.
